Group jobs (4 students per group) - 3 poets and 1 illustrator.
The Group
Step 1 - Select which task option you wish to develop.
Step 2 - Assign jobs. (See the section below describing either "The Poet" or "The Illustrator" role for further instructions)
Step 3 - Stitch together your group's separate verses to create a complete, fluent and thematic poem in your PowerPoint presentation.
Step 4 - Tweak out the imagery and double check the notation used as you approach the final draft of your presentation.
Step 5 - Your group will present their poem to the class along with the PowerPoint presentation. As you present, each member of your group will read the verse they created.
The Poet
Step 1 - Depending upon which task option you choose, each poet will now need to assign themselves the terms or postulates they wish to develop in their verse. Each poet must contribute at least one verse to the final poem.
Step 2 - Each poet now creates a rough draft of their verse.
Step 3 - Compare your verse to the other poets in your group to and begin to prepare to stitch all of the separate verses into a complete poetic piece.
The Illustrator
Step 1 - While keeping note of the task option the group chooses, the illustrator now begins to develop the shapes and notation used to refer these shapes in a rough PowerPoint slide show.
Step 2 - As your group's poem begins to take shape, you should keep note and implement any imagery needed to enhance the final presentation.
Step 3 - Type out each verse of the poem on a separate slide.
Step 4 - Bring it all together. Match all diagrams, notations, and imagery with their appropriate verses to complete a creative and cohesive final product.
